The simple things in life!!

On Monday, Sept 19, 2011 marked 2 months that we have been here in Helsinki, Finland. Coincidentally, the day was also blessed with the rest of our household things. The moving company, a 5 man crew, showed up at 8am with two huge trucks filled with 6 crates full of boxes. When I saw them pull the first crate apart, I started to feel a bit overwhelmed. I thanked God that Troy was here with me and that I wasn't doing this alone. We had to put Troy Jr in his pack n play to get him out of the way because we definitely didn't want the crew to step on him and I couldn't put him down for his nap yet because he had just gotten up. Chloe was just watching the craziness happening before her and she was a good girl staying out of the way.
They started to unload the first crate while some of the men unpacked the boxes and Troy & I did the same. Their policy is to just take the stuff out of the box, so Troy & I would just go behind them and put the stuff away. They worked pretty quickly, and before we knew it, they were on the third crate. We continued to put as much stuff away as we could but it got away from me with all the breaks in between, taking care of the children and then noticing I had the kitchen & dining room tables full of stuff to catch up on. They got to the the fourth crate and took their lunch break after it was unloaded. While they were gone, Troy & I finished up on the things that we could and then I fed the children lunch. Afterwards, I put Troy Jr down for a nap and he wasn't very happy about that because it wasn't in his room and he had no idea what was going on in his house. He ended up fighting for a while but he eventually fell asleep. I took advantage of that and got some more things done. We are pretty much settled in just a few odds and ends to get to. All is well and things are not so chaotic anymore. Until next blog, take care!!
