Happy Thanksgiving!!

We are so blessed and so thankful for all the things that we have in our life. God gave us another wonderful blessing this year in June. Our sweet little man, Troy Jr. He's the added addition that has put the cherry on top of our family "cake". We are now complete. We are so thankful for all of these wonderful gifts.
Today, we celebrate this wonderful day just the 4 of us but look forward to being with all of our family in December for Christmas. Troy is slaving in the kitchen today, cooking a gumbo and the turkey is in the oven as I type this blog, so we'll be eating good today, that's for sure. We wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving!! Love to each and everyone of you.

Holidays approaching!!

With the holidays fast approaching us, it's been so hard to decide what the four of us will be doing for Thanksgiving. We know that we'll be going back to Louisiana for the Christmas holidays but no plan set in motion for Thanksgiving and that's next week. We are thinking of just laying low and hanging out at home, doing our own thing. Troy wants to cook something, so that sounds great to me.  Before we all know it, 39 days from now Christmas will be here. Too fast!!! We are ready and can't wait. It's Troy Jr.'s 1st Christmas and we all will be together. Troy, Chloe, Troy Jr. and I will be driving out on the 17th of December to head back to Louisiana. The first time the four of us take this long trip together, so I believe it's going to be an adventure, that's for sure. Troy Jr. hasn't been to Louisiana yet so this will definitely be a treat for our family, and all of our friends that have not had the opportunity to meet him yet. We will definitely be excited and thrilled to show him off. Things here are still the same, nothing too exciting. The excitement for us is watching our children grow and seeing the world through their eyes. It's great and life for all of us is really good right now. We wish the same for all of you. Lots of love!!

Lots of new things

It's been a while since last blog, so I have a lot to catch up on. On November 8th, Troy & I celebrated our "lucky" anniversary. We've been married 8 years and we had a really nice day. Didn't do anything too exciting because we all had spent the weekend together in Miami, enjoying the "Blue Angels" air show with our friend Robert. We decided to have a low key evening, also because Chloe had school the next day, so we liked that the 4 of us were all together. That's all we needed.
Since then, we've just had ordinary days where Troy Jr. and I just hang out and do our thing. He's been growing so much and getting so big. He now has started to notice the spoon coming to his mouth and now he opens his mouth for it, instead of me putting it in. He's doing all sorts of new things. His newest thing is having a conversation with you, by trying to repeat what you've babbled to him. It's pretty cute and so is he. Chloe is also getting bigger and is learning so much each and everyday. It's wonderful to watch these two angels grow right before our eyes. Such a joy!!

On Friday, November 12th, my lovely husband took me to a Florida Panthers hockey game. It was a great date and a much needed one. We hadn't gone on one since Troy Jr. was about 2 1/2 months old, so it was time. We thoroughly enjoyed it and it was a great game.

Today, November 14th, is my dear wonderful father's birthday. He is a great and wonderful man and one that I'm proud to call Daddy. I love you Daddy and hope you had a wonderful day because you certainly deserve it. Lots of love to you always, we miss you bunches!!
Chloe, Troy, Troy Jr. and I went to Hollywood, FL. to a church fair for St. Maurice. It was great and we had a good time. It brought me back to the days when I use to go to our school fairs for Vandebilt. It wasn't the same but it was nice to be able to attend one after such a long time. Today was a great day and I'm so happy to have been able to spend it with my sweet lil' family. Love to all who reads our blog.

Beginning of Baby Food

Troy Jr's first bite of carrots wasn't as bad as I thought. I guess I shouldn't have expected anything different. He certainly loves to eat and it shows. He really took well to them and had no problem finishing half of the jar as recommended. Although, he probably could have eaten the whole entire jar we had to stop him there because we wanted to make sure he could handle it, since it was something new to him and his stomach. We should have known it was going to be just fine.  We had them again for lunch today and he's still doing well. He's still growing and doing very good with each passing day.

Already November

It's already November 1st and it seems like the beginning of 2010 was just here. It's crazy to think how fast time has flown, but luckily we've been having fun while it was. A whole lot of wonderful things have happened this year for us and we are so thankful and very blessed. It's only right that this month for Thanksgiving, that we do give thanks for all the good things in our lives and never take what we have for granted.

On another note, we all had a wonderful time last night at the "Trunk or Treat" with Chloe & Evan, as "Little Miss Ladybug & Mr. Racecar Driver". Halloween was a success again and our children really enjoyed themselves. Hoping that everyone had a good but safe one.

Have a happy month of November and before you know it, it'll be Christmas and we'll all be celebrating yet another holiday.
